« one of Great Lakes' last great places at risk | Main | it's thinking like this that will turn Michigan into Mississippi »

Hey Dave, I wish I could say I was surprised. This ruling rewrites Michigan environmental protection law. I shudder to think of where it will end up.

"You can't complain about sand mining - you don't live on the beach"

"It's fine if we spew toxins into the water - we own it!"

This court is a shame and embarrassment to the state of Michigan and our heritage of holding our natural resources as a public trust and a direct betrayal of our legal process.

Needless to say, we're linking to this from Absolute Michigan.
