Public meetings around the Great Lakes Basin on the proposed $475 million restoration initiative are imminent.
Here are three good questions to ask:
1) Shouldn't the money be spent on a few large priorities rather than dribbled out in 100 separate initiatives as proposed?
2) How will citizens be able to monitor the use and effectiveness of the funding as it is spent?
3) How will the Great Lakes be better at the end of the first year of funding under this strategy?
